School Visits.
If you wish to visit our synagogue, with a school group, parties of up to 50 children can be offered a guided tour and a talk on "torah", "Judaism" or "the Jewish festivals". An arranged visit must be pre- booked through our web site or requested by phone. Our guide will contact you with all relevant details and requirements.
Regular classes of children ranging from 6 to 11 already visit our Synagogue where the children can see the Jewish religion as it is practised in Northampton.
Education Pack
Schools visiting the synagogue in 2013-14 will receive a free half-class set of our education pack, whilst stocks last, as part of the celebrations to mark our 125th anniversary . It is a beautifully produced, forty-page booklet in full colour, with a laminated cover. The booklet describes the history of the Northampton Jewish community, our synagogue, and the major Jewish festivals. It thus provides a view of Judaism ‘from the inside’, and it can be used for follow-up work after a visit to the synagogue. It can also be used, more generally, as a resource for the study of Judaism.
Teachers, you may down load from a PDF version of the education pack for free by clicking here.
